Where was I going?

The family dog was having a walk and I was taking him when..... I saw this street that I had never been there before, this was strange. It might of been a pixie. Flett was drooling I think this meant time to go home. I went home and went tell Olivia can we go for a walk together. “I want to show you something” I said. I luckily remembered where the street was. That would have been a disaster.

I went to Mum and told her that we were going for a walk. Flett is very tired. Will be back in about half an hour. Dry spit was coming down my throat. The trees were forming shadows. It was getting dark.

Olivia and I were wandering down the street. I found the street that I had found  on the walk. It was a very cold night and my body was starting to shiver. Goosebumps were forming down my arms and legs. I told Olivia that I wanted to go home. They was no moon. It was pitch black. Olivia finally decided that it was time to go home. Liv and I ran home. While we your running I told her that I would show her tomorrow.  I had dinner and went to bed.

I woke up with a huge fright. I was wondering what would happen if we didn’t leave the street. Don’t worry about that type of stuff. In the morning I went  to Mum and asked her if she and Olivia could come on a walk with me. I was scared and that’s why I asked to bring Mum. We were finally made it to the road. We went done it for the. It was so beautiful. The tree’s were forming a tunnel. As they were grown on a diagonal. Down the end of the road there was a golden sunset. The wind was howling down the road and through the tree’s like the wind was a dragon. It was so pretty. Olivia, Mum and I were astonished and amazed. I couldn’t believe it. Then the street magically disappeared. It was sad that it went, but it made my day.

Black Sticks playing India

On Saturday and Sunday the woman Black Sticks played India. They are playing tests with them in Napier, Palmy North also Wellington. On Saturday they won 7-2, on Sunday they won again the score was 3-1. The women played really well. I got some autographs.

Refection on the triathlon

Today we did a triathlon. It was so much fun. I came seventh. Here are some photo's and a reflection about today.  

Reflection on the Triathlon

· Something I was pleased with was… I finished the triathlon.

because… It was hard work but fun  at the same time·

I really enjoyed … The swim because…It was cold and I got brain freeze but it was the easy part of the triathlon.

· Something I found hard was… The running because.... My legs were all jelly from the swim and biking.

· Something that made me think was… Saving my energy. because… I didn't want to use it all up.

· Something I want to get better at is… Running.

         (What can I do about it?)

Practice running when I have some time to do it.

In Maths we have been choosing the correct strategy/strategies for the question. It was kind of hard. But it was heaps of fun.

100 word challenge

All I could see were two red eyes. I was so scared. I was very worried I don't know what this thing was. I was going to run away but my mind said no. I walked quietly to the thing. I was underneath the thing now. It was big as a T-Rex. Then I found out it was an evil T-Rex. This T-Rex was bad.  I didn't know what to do. I have always wanted to see a T-Rex but not this type. I was gasping for breath, not knowing what to. I woke up, it was only a dream.

In room 20 we have done some art. It is fire work art. I like my art. I have used crayons and dye.

Yesterday was Stefan's birthday and we sang Happy birthday to him. So Mr Moriarty came up with an idea for us to say happy birthday in a different language. So I chose to do it in Maori.

Mathletics day 4

Here is my Mathletics poster that I am going to enter the competition with. I am excited.  I think I did really well with  my Mathletics poster.  Here also is a fotobabble.

The temperature suddenly dropped

The temperature suddenly dropped. I was in Australia. It was boiling hot. So hot that the sun was burning my skin through my clothes. I could hear thunder and lightning in the distance. I was happy that the rain was coming but I didn't want to be flooded. The rain can flood in Australia in a couple of minutes. I could hear a waterfall nearby so I needed to head to higher ground. I saw a cliff and decided to climb it was getting darker and I needed to make a hut off the ground so the water doesn't get me wet.

 I get some wood that I could tie together with vines. It was getting darker by the second I was nervous. I hope I make my hut in time. But then the rain comes tipping down. I have made a bed of the ground and put some leaves on it but I don't want to get wet. I am going to have to make a fire and a little roof. I am running to get wood and cut it down . I am wet head to toe. I also am cold. I find some wood it is hard work cutting it down. I finally cut some wood of a tree. I make my roof as fast as I can. It is the same design as my bed but you put it on a Diagonal. By the time I make my fire the rain is stopped . I am freezing cold and are lying as close as I can to the fire. The sun is up and it is going to be another hot day in the sun.

The weird thing
“What is that?” I curiously asked Olivia. “I haven't the foggiest idea Katrina, What kind of animal would wash up on Mahia Beach?” Olivia replied . “It looks like an animal eye of some sort”. “We should maybe hand it in to a animal research, so then they could research it.” “Well that’s so obvious Olivia, of course the research people would research the animal.”

Now we were  running to the animal research place. We handed the eye into the  animal research place. We handed our personal details in.  We found out it was an giant squid eye.

Reading strategy check up

A couple of days ago Room 20 did a reading check up. I thought I did really well and I tried my hardest. I (Katrina) made a Fotobabble  explaining what I did and what I thought of it. My production diary 4

 

Day 10 Production diary.
Last night was the best of all nights, my family were there and they really enjoyed it. I think everyone was really good  and did their best. The crowd was sold out and was crammed with people here and there and everywhere. I loved it. Tomorrow I am having the day off. It is sad to not have the production again. But I am looking forward to Optimist yachting next week!
