My cool room

As I wake up I see the sun trying to peek through the curtains. To my left I see my clock flashing and beeping. To my right I see my mirror and my door reflecting off it, my Dad walking down the hallway just about going into my room, to wake me up. Then I see my bed comfy and messy and it  looks like an elephant has trumped or belly flopped on it. on it. Up on the ceiling I see plain white, I need Dad to put something colorful  on it.  Also I have a wardrobe peeking open with clothes hanging and I see  boring board games. Then I see the floor gray and dull as usual. But soft and bouncy. Oh I almost forgot my shelves. My beautiful shelves. With my radio booming and pounding out music. My special things on the top shelve and on the last two shelves is just stuff I want to keep.  And thats my room!

Parkvale Pride Award

Today I got a PRIDE Award. I am very happy that I got it. I got it for, Showing determination and a healthy work ethic in all areas of school life. When my name was called up I got up and I was smiling, then I went up and shook Mr Gifkins hand then I got my ribbon!

Costa Rica has a population of 4,726,575. If you're wondering what Costa Rica means, it means Rich Coast. The main language Costa Rica speaks are Spanish and English. Costa Rica is in Central America but is its own county.  The Costa Rican flag means:

Costa Rica has 49 states. Costa Rica is in Central America, bordering both the Caribbean Sea and the North Pacific Ocean, between Nicaragua and Panama. Costa Rica is 19,653 square miles that is a similar size to Demark. The capital of Costa Rica is San Jose.

In the 2012 London Olympics Costa Rica have not got any medals. But in total they have one 4 medals over all the Olympics that have been!

Learning about Karaka (clocks) with Whae Harata

Today room 20 learnt about clocks. The Maori word for clocks is Karaka.

The great white man eating shark

Here is my writing for the ending of The great white man eating shark. The story was written by Margaret Mahy

  “Everyone gets in my way!” Norvin exclaimed. So he came up with  an marvelous idea. A Plastic shark  dorsal fin.  

The next day he got his shark fin on. Then he resentfully sneaked into the water.  Next  he was shooting through the water like a silver arrow.

Mrs Scorpio was bobbing up and down in the water when she saw the Great White Man Eating Shark.

She screamed “Shark Shark!” with great terror. She ran to the beach. Everyone else followed.

“Great now I have the Carmel Core beach to myself. MAHAHA!” Norvin laughed cheekily. Next thing he was getting arrested by the police. Norvin tried to talk but DZZZDZZDZ Tazza. It was only a joke he announced  to the Police.

“Okay, if that is what you say?” grunted the Police officer.  Well it wasn’t really because people got in my way and I wanted to swim through the water like a silver arrow Norvin added. Come on let me out of here I need to do my swimming! I want to be on schedule you know! And that was the end of Norvin!
